Studies on Yogari™

Past Studies:

A preliminary study was completed in the Winfield School District at Irving Elementary School.  The study involved 3 kindergarten classrooms where reflex integration was measured by the building Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist before the Yogari was implemented and then again after 3 months of participation.  The overall results were good.

The graph to the right reflects the overall change in percentage of students whose reflexes were integrated after participating in Yogari for  3 months verses Students who did not participate in Yogari (Base-line Group).

The preschool classrooms and the Irving kindergarten classrooms have continued to use this program since first participating in the initial study in the 2005-2006 school year.

Current Studies:

Currently the University of Kansas Medical Center in is the process of doing their own research on Yogari.  The purpose of their study is to examine the effect of participation in yoga (or Yogari) on classroom behaviors, academic performance, gross motor skills and coordination, and fine motor performance of preschool students.
